The Leinen Family roots began in the Trucking Industry hauling sand and gravel for 40 years. They then incorporated as Gail Materials in 1979. Mitch and Nick Leinen added to their father’s legacy by establishing Canyon Tire Sales, Inc in 1990. Nick led Gail Materials operations while Mitch headed Canyon Tire.
Mitch Leinen drove for Gail Materials 5 years and learned the responsibilities of safely delivering product on time. His experience underscores how critical it is to drive on the tires that not only perform to give the lowest cost of operation, but also to endure the demands of on and off-road dependability.

Fontana Store was added which provided coverage for the Inland Empire.
Montebello Store was added which outgrew the facility 2 years later and moved to Southgate.
Corona location expanded to Dawson Canyon with a 53-acre property off Temescal Canyon Road to establish a 30,000 sq. ft. install a Michelin Retread plant.
Paul Casados, Glenn Pontow and Gary Wohlhueter brought 70 years’ worth of experience in Earthmover and OTR.
Bob Hofmann, Jeff Thomas and Jim Molina brought 140 years’ worth of tire experience to lead and manage the growth of Canyon Tire.
Sold American Truck Parts Business.
Canyon Tire Sales, Inc. established at the 5,000 sq. ft. Corona Store off Magnolia. Bought American Truck Parts and merged it with Canyon Tire.
